It was filler all the way thought but it was very well done filler. It helped introduce the character which was very helpful seeing that we weren&#39;t going to get much of that in Saboady due to Kuma. <br /><br />As I mention before, Brook is one of the most underdeveloped characters out of the Straw Hats. He was introduced but that was it. After he joined it was straight into Saboaody where he was split up from the rest of the crew. We know that his loyalty to the crew is just as strong as the veteran members but nothing about what makes Brook tick. I may not like the pacing we are having at the airing of this episode but I appreciate that Brook got this moment to shine.<br /><br />I did notice the gecko on Caibou&#39;s head. Forgot to comment about it in this review. Just proof that Oda still has it in him to create interesting looking characters if Caribou wasn&#39;t proof already.<br /><br />Franky&#39;s hair is good and bad. It is nice to see that Oda was willing to make a radical change to one of his characters but at the same time he took away something that helped define the character. <br /><br />I would say that Chopper is better off being Pikachu. Chopper&#39;s Japanese VA also does the voice of Pikachu in the Pokemon anime. Also both characters are mascots for their respected series so it fits. <br /><br />I think Brook will make a good Dry Bones. haha They are both bone! At first it starts out as a pretty cliche comedic premise, with Brook trying to help out each of his fellow crew mates, and every time he manages to mess something up. But in the later half of the episode, there&#39;s a scene of him just sitting down listening to all the different sounds from each of the Straw Hats working (or playing), and he has that epiphany where he realizes he&#39;s no longer alone on that desolate ship left with his sorrows.<br /><br />What follows at the very end was quite possibly the most beautiful violin solo of Binks Sake I&#39;ve ever heard. Everything about that scene, the sound, the lighting, the colors, the different angles of the Sunny, was as perfect as this this show has ever been, and this was suppose to be filler. Then again, the feelings and scences in this episode COULD NOT have been pulled off in manga form.<br /><br />There was a bit of that spark in this episode. I enjoyed the song about Luffy, and while I will agree it was a bit overbearing, the fact that a group of Techies rolled out a wall onto the stage just so Brook could do his 45 Degrees gag, and we see women faint in the audience, I couldn&#39;t stop laughing.<br /><br />Ah, Caribou. Way to kill the mood. God that guy makes me shudder. Despite how many characters Oda has created so far, he still manages to come up with new and interesting antagonists every time.<br /><br />Though whats up with the Geko on Coribou&#39;s head? Anyone else notice that?<br /><br />Also I am appreciative that Franky still has his hair...sort of. I mean I&#39;m always going to miss the application where his hair style was hingent on the property of drink that was fueling him.<br /><br />Seeing Luffy with that mustache keeps reminding me that I wish I could find some One Piece/Nintendo crossover art, with each of the straw hats dressed as a Nintendo character:<br />Luffy as Mario<br />Zoro as Link<br />Nami as Princess Peach<br />Usopp as Fox McCloud<br />Sanji as Captain Falcon<br />Chopper as Pikachu (or maybe one of the Ice Climbers)<br />Robin as Samus Aran<br />Franky as Donkey Kong<br />Brook as... um...
